MessageLabs is looking to add more entry-level resellers to its Associate Partner program and is also increasing internal sales staff numbers.
Partner account director, Belinda Burgess, said the security and managed services vendor had signed up more than 20 partners since January but was still keen to take on more resellers, integrators, consultants and ISPs.
"Our program is so diverse. There is a good opportunity to sell managed security services into SMB because they tend to be the most vulnerable to security threats," she said.
Burgess said a recent spike in demand for managed services meant the company would bring on three additional sales staff to support partners.
She highlighted anti-spam and antivirus as key drivers of managed security services.
Sydney-based integrator, The Missing Link, is an associate level MessageLabs partner. General manager, Karen Drewitt, said it had seen an increase in demand for managed services as clients looked to take the hassle out of running IT operations.
"I think a lot of companies are moving away from having IT skills in-house and want somebody to take care of it," she said.
