Let’s face it, trade shows and office openings are generally on the boring side — even in the riveting ol’ IT channel.

But Queensland corporate dealer, NetOptions, decided to break the trend with a phenomenal housewarming to celebrate the opening of its new offices in Brisbane late last month.

The day started with 21 IT vendors showing their wares at a trade show. But soon things got a little more interesting — the guests were treated to a fun fair, including a 20m x 12m dodgem track (12 cars), laughing clowns, shooting gallery, knock’em and striker.

More than 500 people attended, including representatives from NetOptions’ suppliers and corporate/government clients. Many have since contacted the reseller to thank them for the night — during which more than 35 cases of beer and 12 cases of wine and champagne were knocked down.
