Financial applications and ERP vendor Great Plains has used its recent partner retreat 2001 conference to launch a series of new initiatives it hopes will significantly grow its Asia-Pacific market share.
Central to Great Plains' vision is the regionalisation of a number of partner programs, according to Richard Johnstone, Great Plains Australiasian managing director. He claims initiatives such as R&D and support will be driven from locations across the Asia-Pacific region rather than countries having to relay back to Great Plains' head office in Fargo, North Dakota, for these services.
The advantages of the strategy to Great Plain's channel partners will be the provision of additional training, product support and marketing collateral, says Johnstone.
The vendor has also embarked on a national road show to promote the latest GST-compliant version, 6.0, of its eEnterprise product line.
