Amidst increased awareness of the need and demand for corporate antivirus solutions, distributor LAN Systems has expanded its product range by taking on the disribution of Trend Micro products.
LAN Systems has clearly targeted the security issue as a growth opportunity and a means to reach new resellers and clients.
According to Nick Verykios, general manager of LAN Systems, the Trend Micro range is a great addition to its reseller security portfolio.
"Corporate antivirus software, like Trend Micro's suite, provides an excellent opportunity for resellers to sell complete security solutions to their customers," Verykios said. "Resellers can then deliver ongoing security, maintenance strategies and management, developing greater potential for ongoing revenues.
"Antivirus software on its own won't win resellers major systems sales," Verykios continued. "It must be integrated into the overall security policy for a complete security solution.
"This way resellers are providing value, not just products, because they are managing their customer's complete security policy.
"Unlike some antivirus vendors, Trend Micro has no direct sales team to compete with its channel partners, which is another reason LAN Systems is happy to welcome them into our vendor community," he added.
Verykios said LAN Systems will offer three different reseller programs with the Trend Micro range. The Technology Migration Incentive Program is designed to assist resellers in migrating their customers to Trend Micro.
Meanwhile, there is an Accredited Reseller Training Program in place as well as the availabiliy of Multi-Vendor Complete Security Bundles. Resellers are encouraged to talk to LAN Systems about these limited release programs.
