New ThumbPad for PDAs

New ThumbPad for PDAs

Targus has introduced a new ThumbPad keyboard designed for use with the Palm V series or IBM Workpad c3 personal digital assistants.

The device is a small keyboard that clips directly onto the serial port of the handheld, eliminating the need for an external stand.

Targus claims the keyboard is the smallest and lightest on the market for PDA text typing. Low power consumption means there is no need for an external power source and the keyboard is colour matched to the Palm V platform.

It features programmable hot keys and is supported by a one-year warranty. At this stage, the device is only available for use with the Palm V and IBM Workpad c3, but Targus plans to introduce additional models for other PDAs.

It retails for $99.95.
