Dixon named Riverbed APJ sales leader

Tasked with organising vendor’s sales and distribution roadmap

IT infrastructure vendor, Riverbed, has appointed Steve Dixon as Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) sales senior vice-president, who is tasked with charting and executing the company’s sales and distribution strategy for the region.

APJ is one of Riverbed’s fastest-growing markets. The vendor currently has an established presence in 14 countries within the region.

“The rapid development in APJ has seen the fast building and evolution of IT networks and infrastructures, be it consolidated, Cloud or virtualised,” Dixon said.

“Over the last few years, we are excited to witness the increasing demand for application performance solutions from organisations and service providers alike.”

Dixon joined Riverbed in 2005, filling the role of Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) managing director. He has since held several senior management roles.

Most recently, he worked as Asia-Pacific (APAC) channels senior director and vice-president, through which he is credited for successfully developing and strengthening the breadth and capability for the vendor’s channel partners.

Before Riverbed, Dixon gained experience in sales, engineering and management with CASE Technology, Cabletron, and Kinetica.
