eCommerce provider, VARCentral, has integrated IT financer, Moneytech into its system, giving SMB IT resellers the chance to process orders and payments quickly via their Moneytech account.
Due to the integration, resellers can pay distributors automatically, at the point of placing the order in the VARCentral system, and it also lets them know in real time exactly what funds are available.
VARCentral sales and marketing manager, Jess Saint, said a huge amount of development went into integrating Moneytech, which took about six months.
“Any resellers dealing with the distributors we’re getting feeds from can now select Moneytech as the payment method at the time they raise the order with the supplier,” Saint said. “It’s a great solution for resellers to broaden who they buy from and quickly order without having to get invoice copies from each distributor, log into each of their bank accounts to transfer funds, and then wait for the order to eventually get released. This partnership removes all those blockages and speeds up the flow of the transaction.”
So far there are about 10 distributors that feed into the VARCentral system including Ingram Micro, Dicker Data, Synnex, Alloys, Multimedia Technology, Dynamic Supplies, Express Online, Avnet, Bluechip IT and Anyware.
Distributors that will be coming on board shortly include Tonnex International, Altech, Comsol, Edsys, Satex, Proscan and Express Data.
Director of IT services provider, IT Logic, Haydn Tomlinson, said it previously had a different system for quotes, but now with VARCentral, it ties together products, quoting and the ordering process.
“We can easily compare pricing and stock availability with all the distributors, which is an incredible time saver,” Tomlinson said.
There are about 80 resellers using the system, Saint said, from small one-man suppliers to large system integrators.
VARCentral is specifically tailored for Australian IT resellers, providing a personalised online storefront, administration back-office, multi-distributor quoting tool, ordering, marketing module, website SEO tools and analytics, newsletter campaign manager, social media integration and shopping portal support.
“Our target market is SMB reseller that can’t afford to build their own solution,” she said. “We’ve got some resellers that have about two or three staff, doing about $3 million turnover. We’ve got one-man bands using the system, some resellers that specifically sell consumables and system integrators that need fulfilment.”
VARCentral is also looking to expand into building software annuity and warranty portals for resellers, to alert them when customer products are up for renewal.
