Security vendors Check Point, Trend Micro and ISS have banded together with PC vendor Compaq in an effort to improve reseller understanding of security issues.
Each company will be represented in a Best of Breed seminar series to be held in Sydney and Melbourne next week. According to Trend Micro managing director Chris Poulos the seminars are an attempt to educate resellers about the issues surrounding the integration of different security products.
"The notion behind all of this is that we would like to approach our customers with an integrated solution between the different products," Poulos said.
Poulos said that the seminars would provide resellers with the technical skills to integrate firewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection software.
"People are getting fed up with having to juggle a lot of different software solutions," Poulos said. "These educational seminars are designed to minimise finger pointing by providing the channel with the technical skills to integrate different solutions."
The seminars will be broken into distinct sections dealing with integration and technical issues. Attendance to the seminars is free to resellers, and online registration is available via the Trend Micro Web site: www.trendmicro.com.au.
