Telecommunications company, Vodafone, has unveiled new pricing for data add-ons, which it claims will give customers choice when tailoring post-paid plans for smartphones.
The announcement follows the recent launch of Vodafone’s 4G network, which offers fast access to data in selected metropolitan areas of Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Wollongong and Newcastle.
From $5 per month, the new data add-ons allow its customers to top-up their post-paid plan with an additional data allowance. Data Add-ons are available to all post-paid customers and can be accessed through all stores, via 1555 and online.
Vodafone chief customer officer, Craig Reines, said the company launched the new pricing details as on-the-go Internet usage is growing at an exponential rate and it wants its customers to be able to use the Internet, social media and apps, safe in the knowledge they will not be hit with an unexpected high bill at month’s end.
“Mobiles are now the most commonly used way to access the internet. We want our customers to be able to explore without any worry. These tools give our customers the ability to get the most out of their service whilst remaining in total control of their monthly mobile bills,” Reines said.
