ASX-listed Internet company has acquired another small Web hosting company in its quest to become a formidable player in the growing hosting industry.

The company has acquired domestic hosting company for an undisclosed amount, its fifth acquisition of such a company in as many months. has also integrated four other acquired Web hosting businesses into its subsidiary in recent months, being iAsiaworks, Domains N' Servers, Ice Blue and Moniker.

While spending up on these Web hosting firms, chief executive officer Dominic Carosa said the company still has $6 million in the bank. The business was purchased using a combination of both cash and shares.

Carosa said he is essentially acquiring customers. All of the hosting companies acquired are being integrated into a common infrastructure and branded under the name, in order to meet the economies of scale necessary to become a substantial player in the hosting market.

Carosa has been employing a few additional people to cope with the increased customer base, but said he was focusing on keeping his expenses low. While is not yet of the size of players like WebCentral, Carosa said the company is "aggressively moving in that direction."
