With interest in the 7th ARN ICT industry Awards running at an all-time high, it is with great pleasure we announce nominations are officially open.
The nominations page on the website opened for business on June 12. Simply go to ARN Online, click on the ARN ICT Awards section in the red navigation bar. Then just click on the nominations section link.
The ARN ICT Awards recognise and celebrate channel excellence over the past year. To be hosted at the black tie Celebration Dinner on Wednesday, September 18, at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, the 2013 awards theme is A night of stars - celebrating a year of stars, aptly named for the myriad of channel champions, talented professionals and high-achieving technology companies making a difference in the ICT industry.
Like previous years, we are expecting a record number of entries this year across the 29 awards.
New this year is the Collaboration vendor award, which is this year’s designated focus as part of the Best Emerging Technology Initiative. The award focuses on collaboration technologies and how they are enabling better business communications and expanding the reach of enterprises. Technologies include video (videoconferencing and telepresence), Cloud-based collaboration, as well as BYOD and mobility.
ARN is also pleased to announce the launch of a new category for the 2013 ARN ICT Industry Awards. The Homegrown Innovators Awards (Service Provider of the Year and Software Developer of the Year) recognise the new breed of Australian companies – innovators finding success in bringing ICT products and solutions to new and established markets. ARN is enthusiastic to recognise companies which have established their businesses in Australia as start-ups (rather than being a multi-national subsidiary) to provide to domestic and/or global markets.
There are some simple steps involved in the nomination process, which is all explained at the top of the page and then a series of links for each award follow. Simply click on the appropriate link (listed below) in the category you wish to nominate for and enter the required information as indicated.
You will have a chance to self-nominate across seven award categories: community; personal innovation; vendor; distributor; reseller; telecommunications; and homegrown innovators.
Each category has, on average, four questions as part of the award criteria. Have a crack and put your best foot forward in answering the criteria, but limit your responses per question to a maximum of 250 words.
ARN strongly recommends companies only self-nominate to ensure the best chance of success with our 80-strong judging panel. Please note that you only need one nomination submission to be in the running for your chosen award (other nominations cannot be considered). Then simply enter your name, company name and email address and you’ll be in the running.
Nominations close on July 12.
Good luck and perhaps we’ll see you on the podium at the Celebration Dinner on September 18.
