Sanity deploys Oki printers

B431dn devices to appear in 120 retail stores

Printer manufacturer, Oki Data, has been selected to deploy its B431dn networked mono printers at 120 Sanity Entertainment retail locations in Australia.

Sanity is a digital entertainment retailer which specialises in music, movies, television, and merchandise. The company’s first store was opened in 1992 in Doncaster, and it now has more than 150 shops in the country.

According to Oki, Sanity chose the B431dn device due to its productivity capabilities, three-year warranty, nation-wide technical services support, and the vendor’s 30-minute average printer break fix time.

“These easy to use desktop printer give Sanity advanced productivity features in a robust and compact design that’s perfect for the store environment,” Oki Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) marketing manager, Antonio Leone, said.

“At the same time, Sanity will be able to reduce costs by tracking and controlling printer usage and generating detailed reports for assigning costs to individuals and store locations.”

The B431dn is powered by a 330MHz processor and comes with 64MB of RAM, expandable to 320MB. It offers a maximum resolution of 1200x1200dpi. The device’s paper supply is 800 at maximum, and it also ships with a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray for numerous sizes.

Oki claims the B431dn’s first printed page time is less than 4.5 seconds, and is capable of printing up to 38 pages per minute. Other features include: digital LED technology, automatic two-sided printing, and a ‘Power Save’ mode which promises energy consumption of 8W.
