TechnoPlanet Productions extends reach into Australia

Aims to help Australian resellers build their businesses

International channel marketing and communications company, TechnoPlanet Productions, is expanding its reach into Australia, with the aim of helping Australian resellers build their businesses.

TechnoPlanet Productions president, Julian Lee, said the company is expanding its reach from its Canadian base to Australia as the countries have a common channel model.

“We are expanding in several countries including Australia. Our goal is to expand into more countries as we help IT VARs everywhere to build their businesses,” Lee said.

According to Lee, the company’s Australian expansion plans include launching a datacentre to host its e-commerce platform called ibiz10 and some of the VAR’s SaaS Office Suite Cloud solutions, as well as opening up a regional sales office and hiring local staff to help grow and support the market.

At present, TechnoPlanet Productions is hosting at a local datacentre facility in Australia.

The company’s current focus is on delivering a suite of 30 tools that will help any IT reseller to streamline, manage and market their business.

“We have been developing these tools and partnering with third-party companies to deliver the total solution to the resellers. The solution set is called VAR Office Suite,” Lee said.

He mentioned that its focus shifted from the ibiz10 e-commerce platform to include VAR Office Suite as a result of reseller demand.

“Over the past 10 years, we have been working with thousands of IT resellers who continued to ask us for help beyond the e-commerce platform; so we got a chance to learn a lot about their other requirements.”

Lee said it is vital for resellers to have the right tool set and training for them to streamline all of their business processes including e-commerce, quotes, ERP, CRM, services and marketing.

“Resellers mostly have the same challenges everywhere. The tools that they currently use are not as connected and not as efficient as it could be. With the right tool set and training, resellers will save a lot of time and increase their productivity without additional human resources.”

In preparation for its expansion, TechnoPlanet Productions’ events division, ChannelNext, will host a free one-day channel event, VARTrends, in Sydney and Melbourne.

The event aims to showcase the latest channel trends, including Cloud solutions, managed services, BYOD and mobility, and is a forum for vendors and resellers to learn, exchange ideas, build relationships as well as partnerships.

“VARTrends is 100 per cent about helping the channel. We are hoping that the resellers who attend will come away with a road map to help them build a stronger business.

“Regardless of if they use the tools or not, at least they will understand how other resellers are using them to get best-practices and they will also learn how they can position themselves to exploit opportunities from the key channel trends,” Lee added.
