Technology services provider, Insentra, has been named in BRW’s ‘Fast Starters Top 100’ for the second consecutive year, jumping to 38 from 81 in 2012.
The revenue-based list recorded Insentra’s 2011 to 2012 figure as $3,324,697 for a growth of 100 per cent.
According to managing director, Ronnie Altit, Insentra’s success comes on the back of its growing reputation among vendors and channel.
“Some pockets of the market were waiting to see whether we are truly committed to our 100 per cent channel model,” he said. “After having stuck to the cause and successfully delivered projects, partners have acknowledged what we are doing; our reputation has started to carry more weight within the market.”
To further build on its results, Altit confirmed Insentra will focus on filling gaps in the market in which the channel is looking for stronger skills.
A part of this will be expanding its vendor portfolio to add to its existing relationships with Nimble and Kaseya.
“At the moment, we are not eyeing any vendors in particular, but I really like disruptive technology and am always keen to get in early with vendors which have such technologies to get ahead of the curve,” Altit said.
Insentra will also continue to investigate doing work for managed services providers (MSPs) which, in Altit’s opinion, are facing the same struggles as systems integrators (SIs).
Quality growth over hiring sprawl
Despite Insentra’s recent success, Altit said the company will only expand internally when appropriate.
“For me, you don’t measure the success of the business by the number of staff.”
The company presently employs 23 persons, two of which are interns.
“Part of our growth strategy is to bring on junior staff and train them even though you do not typically get a return on them for 12 months,” Altit said. “We like to grow them from the ground up, and we plan to continue to invest in our graduate and intern programs,” Altit said.
