Looking to further expand its share of the printing market, Fuji Xerox Phaser Printing has upped its channel focus, appointing Ben Gardem as channel marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Gardem will be responsible for helping the channel market Fuji Xerox printers - a new position created within the company.
"I am looking forward to building on the existing relationships Fuji Xerox Phaser Printing has established with the channel," he said. "One major step we have made in this direction is the introduction of a new rebate program aimed at recognising and rewarding resellers that are committed to selling Fuji Xerox Phaser colour printers."
According to Fuji Xerox marketing operations manager for Asia Pacific Neale Gallagher, demand for its solid ink colour printers - a technology developed by Tektronix and taken on when Xerox bought its colour printing and imaging division - grew by more than 60 per cent last year.
"We had a good year last year, with around 20 per cent overall growth. This year we grew over Q1 last year, so it is a fairly positive story," he said.
