Bridge Point Communications has partnered with Atlanta-based payment security and compliance solutions provider, ControlScan, to produce a full suite of payment card industry (PCI) compliance and data security solutions.
Bridge Point is an Australian information security, data management and network integration services provider.
The move will see ControlScan’s PCI 1-2-3 solution added to Bridge Point GRC services in a way that caters for the Australian market, according to Bridge Point director, Tim Smith. It will be offered as a portal-based subscription service.
Smith said that by combining the two, his company has a “one-stop solution” for merchant service providers looking to decrease risk by increasing merchants’ security.
The agreement therefore intends to help Australian acquirers and merchant service providers improve the security posture and PCI compliance rates of the large, small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) they serve.
“According to the Council of Small Business of Australia (COSBOA), 96 per cent of businesses in Australia are small businesses,” Smith said. “Bridge Point is pleased it can now cater to the SMB market and provide a complete end-to-end service.”
