TPG slashes Sydney to Singapore bandwidth costs

Launches 1 Gbps Link

Network infrastructure vendor, TPG Telecom (ASX: TPM), is making an attempt at lowering the bandwidth costs between Sydney and Singapore, with the launch of its 1 Gbps Link.

The product is prices at $6500 per month + GST, and is aimed at corporate customers who require fast and reliable access between the two locations.

The traffic is delivered via TPG-owned PPC-1 submarine cable from Meet-Me-Room facilities in Sydney and terminates at a Meet-Me-Room facility in a datacentre in Singapore.

TPG corporate sales manager, Wayne Springer, said the offering is the most cost effective and aggressive pricing in the market.

“Our customers have been looking for a cost effective solution into Asia for a long time now. It is significantly cheaper than what many are paying for bandwidth between Sydney and Perth,” he said.

The company most recently announced a customer base growth for home phone bundle plans, broadband, and mobile subscription.
