Advantech has been selected as the authorised distributor for McAfee’s range of embedded security products in Asia-Pacific.
Advantech embedded computing group vice-president, Miller Chang, characterises the move as a “unique opportunity” to expand its security offerings partnering with McAfee.
“We look forward to strengthening the relationship between us and McAfee,” he said.
Chang said the distribution deal will strengthen Advantech’s position in the embedded computing and service space in Asia Pacific.
McAfee worldwide embedded sales vice-president, Tom Moore, hopes that the partnership with Advantech will help expand the reach of the security vendor’s embedded platform in the region.
“Advantech brings a history of expertise in the embedded platform that will benefit the growing market opportunity,” he said.
The McAfee’s range of embedded security products aim to stand out in the market by featuring integrity control for integrated audit and compliance reports to meet multiple compliance regulations.
Other features include allowing only authorised code to run and authorised changes to be made, and blocking of unauthorised applications and code fixed-function devices.
