Data and Internet Protocol (IP) services provider, NTT Communications, has been selected to create and implement a full managed, whole of business solution for tyre distributor, Yokohoma Tyre Australia (YTA).
The solution comprises networking, security, Internet and datacentre services and support.
According to YTA IT manager, Duance Hum, NTT was chosen for its reputation of high quality and reliability.
“Our IT infrastructure needed to be both reliable and simple to manage, so utilising NTT for all our requirements was an easy choice as they could provide resilient networking, datacentre, security and Internet services.”
“Prior to the upgrade we operated our servers from one of our warehouses,” Hum said. “Unfortunately we experienced regular evacuations which wreaked havoc on our system as the servers had to be taken off-line each time.”
The move to NTT’s Sydney datacentre has eliminated interruptions to YTA’s franchisees, retail stores, contact centres, and other warehouses’ critical business functions.
Hum added that YTA has been satisfied with NTT’s engineers who delivered the project on time and within budget. He said, “Resources were allocated well and the supported we received was very attentive and focused.”
NTT has become a ‘true business partners’ for YTA since the formation of the partnership over five years ago. YTA’s next plan for the relationship is to work with NTT to deliver additional Cloud services, business intelligence (BI) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems in the near future.
