Wavelink new distie for Citrix

Distie deal follows Citrix’s acquisition of Zenprise

Cloud computing vendor, Citrix, has inked a distribution deal with Wavelink, following Citrix’s acquisition of mobile device management company, Zenprise, in January.

Wavelink has been the distributor of Zenprise’s products in Australia up till its acquisition.

As per the agreement, Wavelink will distribute the Citrix range of enterprise mobility solution, including the XenMobile MDM solution and the Citrix Mobile Solutions Bundle.

Citrix channel director, Neville James, said the company handpicked Wavelink for its strong distribution network and ability to support channel partners in delivering technologies to their customers.

James claimed the partnership will also enable Citrix to have a greater reach into the mobile space.

“The mobility opportunity for Citrix is incredibly important. It’s a new focus for us so having an established player such as Wavelink join us in the business will help us build a substantial and vibrant channel in the mobility space,” he said.

Wavelink managing director, Ilan Rubin, mentioned the partnership will help its channel partners not only engage with their customers about mobile device management, but also offer solutions that secure data on all devices regardless of the type of device or platform.

“Citrix provides an end-to-end mobility solution that secures the device, applications and data, addressing the needs and requirements of customers who face the onslaught of mobility platforms,” Rubin said.
