Ken Boal has been promoted to managing director of Cisco A/NZ.
The appointment comes in the wake of previous managing director, Richard Kitts, moving up to the leadership position of services for the Asia Pacific, Japan and China region.
Boal expects to continue driving Cisco's engagement with its customers, partners and the industry in the new role to “capture new business value and enable these exciting new possibilities.”
“Network enabled technology is disrupting and transforming industries across Australia and New Zealand, accelerated by the ‘Internet of everything,’” he said.
Boal has been with Cisco since 2004 in a role related to the public sector with Australia’s federal, state and territory governments, defence, education and healthcare.
Before becoming managing director, Boal was in charge of the enterprise and public sector business for Cisco ANZ.
With the new appointment, Boal will now report to Cisco Asia Pacific, Japan and China president, Jaime Vallés.
