IT services provider, Oriel Technologies has worked with the National Rugby League (NRL) to deploy AirWatch to support its corporate-owned devices and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
AirWatch provides mobile security and enterprise mobility management.
NRL IT manager, Maurice Veliz, said AirWatch was selected due to its device and application management capabilities and competitive price point.
“As it stands, our users have found the process simple and straightforward from the initial stages of deployment,” Veliz said.
The NRL has more than 400 corporate-owned smartphone and tablet devices. It also plans to offer a BYOD program supporting iOS and Android devices to its 900 staff.
AirWatch also allows NRL to benefit from the Apple Volume Purchase Program, which will prevent end-users from needing to submit expense reports for NRL applications.
“As rugby season begins and fans turn to NRL applications for scores and updates, AirWatch will enable NRL employees to take advantage of the opportunities mobility provides as well,” AirWatch Australia managing director, Rob Roe, said.
