Express Data appointed as Microsoft UC VAD in Australia

The distributor heavily invested in UC technical expertise and channel education.

Express Data has become the first value added distributor (VAD) in Australia for Microsoft’s Unified Communications.

Express Data achieved its VAD status via demonstrating its commitment to the UC platform and showcasing it to customers and partners through innovative experiences, Microsoft said.

Microsoft SMB distribution and channel manager, Carolyn Darke, said Express Data helped in building up and providing technical and licensing capabilities to the channel.

“Express Data helped us scale this capability into the channel through extensive training and program execution and our partnership will enable Microsoft to demonstrate this opportunity to the broad partner audience,” Darke said.

In a statement, Express Data director of marketing and vendors, Peter Masters, said it heavily invested in unified communications (UC) technical expertise and highlighted it as an area of growth for the channel.

“We’re continually investing time and resources to educate and engage our wide breadth of channel partners,” Masters said.

Express Data was crowned 2012 Microsoft Australia Distributor of the Year.
