As part of the agreement, all six seasons, which aired from 1998 to 2003, are available on Yahoo!7’s online catch-up television service, Plus7.
The service, which is free for all Australians, hosts key programs aired on the Channel 7 network. These can be accessed for a month after they first hit the screen, at which point they are removed.
According to Yahoo!7, the partnership extension symbolises Plus7’s growth, having achieved 4.1 million streams in February.
“Since its launch in 2010, Plus7 has grown its content offering to include TV shows from a range of content providers and now averages three million video streams a month,” Yahoo!7 connected entertainment director, Kristin Carlos, said.
“We’re excited to announce this content deal with Sony Picture Television to provide Australians access to even more great TV programmes.”
