Network security and management solutions provider, Arbor Networks, has appointed Jeff Buhl to the position of Asia-Pacific (APAC) vice-president to lead its sales and channel initiatives throughout the region.
Buhl joins Arbor with 17 years’ of international business leadership experience. In his past eight years in APAC, he has held roles in multi-channel management, enterprise software and solution sales, telecommunications operator business development, and consulting experience.
Before Arbor, Buhl worked in senior leadership roles at NQ Mobile, Good Technology, and BEA Systems.
“Buhl brings the right mix of service provider and channel expertise that will allow him to make an immediate impact for Arbor in APAC,” Arbor president, Colin Doherty, said.
“DDoS and advanced threats are not a regional problem but a global one. Arbor’s deployment in global service provider networks, combined with our enterprise solutions, makes for a very powerful combination.”
The company has been active in APAC for nearly a decade, and claims it has gained significant traction with some of the regions’ network operators. These include Tata Communications, SK Telecom, China Telecom, Hunan Mobile, KDDI, StarHub, and more.
In commenting on his appointment, Buhl said, “I’m looking forward to helping the company continue to expand its APAC footprint as it continues to help network operators in the region protect their infrastructure from DDoS and other advanced threats targeting them today.”
