Korean technology vendor launches its flagship Android smartphone in Sydney

LG launched the Optimus LG at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sydney.

LG launched the Optimus LG at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sydney.

LG used the Museum of Modern Arts in Sydney as the launch platform for its latest smartphone, the Optimus G.

The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 4.7" WXGA display, and 4G connectivity.

LG has added features such as QSlide, enabling two apps to run on one screen, and Dual Screen Dual Play, which not only allows for mirroring between the phone and TV, but different content can be run on each screen concurrently.

Other features of the include QuickMemo, where notes can be written on the screen and captured, Live Zooming, zooming of video content, and Time Catch Shot, where five photos are captured and the user can choose the best one.

The phone is available now exclusively through the Telstra network on a 24-month plan for $60 per month.
