Panasonic Business Systems Group has appointed CommsPlus Distribution as the Australian distributor for its range of IP (Internet protocol) PBX (private branch exchange) solutions.
CommsPlus managing director, Brett McInnes, said he is excited about the renewed association with the product, the channel and the Panasonic brand, having been the director of the communications products division at Panasonic Australia from 2005 to 2009
“Current and prospective Panasonic IP PBX channel partners can feel confident in Panasonic’s product strategy and the high quality support and enthusiasm of CommsPlus Distribution as a well-resourced and knowledgeable partner,” he said.
Additionally, since several of the CommsPlus key team members have previously worked for the vendor, Panasonic Australia imaging solutions, PBX and video conferencing group manager, David Cuckney, that made the distributor a good fit in terms of product knowledge and brand competence.
“Panasonic dealers will benefit from high levels of dedicated support and this sophisticated understanding of enterprise communications solutions, enabling them to take full advantage of Panasonic’s IP telephony range,” he said.
Panasonic is expecting CommsPlus and The IPL Group to work closely together throughout the changeover and its commencement on April 1, starting with a dealer briefing in early March,
