Australian-founded, US-based e-business and integration company, iLaunch has signed a new ISV partnership agreement with European software giant, Software AG.
The agreement will see iLaunch incorporating the Software AG's EntireX middleware integration tool into its workflow application development platform.
According to iLaunch founder, Mushtaq Bahadur, the partnership will allow the company's platform to provide integration with mainframe, UNIX and AS400 environments.
Bahadur said he was unsure what the partnership would mean to iLaunch in terms of revenue, saying the company is currently focused on trying to find channel partners.
"What we have is an application development platform which consists entirely of a set of rules. It is code-free," Bahadur said. "You can Web enable the information stored in mainframe, UNIX and AS400 systems an then create complex applications by defining the rules.
"You need a back-end broker to do that and we have chosen [Software AG's] EntireX."
Bahadur says the company's challenge is now to find more systems integrators and consultants to develop vertical e-business applications for their niche markets.
