Kensington Slim MicroSaver

The theft of notebooks has often led to leaks of sensitive information. Kensington's Slim MicroSaver is a cable lock designed to deter the theft of thin laptop computers, and prevent thieves from being able to use a stolen machine. It is based on the original MicroSaver cable lock product developed by the Kensington Technology Group, with a slimmer design and a smaller locking barrel, giving thieves a hard time trying to pick the lock. The slim design also allows the notebook computer to lay flat without blocking any ports or buttons on the computer. The Slim MicroSaver retails for $99.95 and is available from Ingram Micro 1300 653

SonicWALL has released a new set of Internet security appliances it claims to be of the highest-performance throughput yet. The products support a range of add-ons such as virtual private networks, network antivirus products, enhanced Web content filtering, and authentication for the use of digital certificates. The SOHO3 product is specifically targeted at small businesses and branch offices. The SonicWALLrom range retails from $2300 for a 10-user licence and is available from Tecksel (02) 9648 5711 and Lan 1 (02) 9319
