Queensland-based software publisher and distributor, Manaccom, has signed an agreement with Diversions Entertainment for the exclusive publication in Australia and New Zealand of One Must Fall: Battlegrounds.
Games publishing and distribution is nothing new to Manaccom – the company was the first to publish the watershed title, Doom. But the company has recently turned its focus back to the games market and will be releasing a batch of AAA games. This week marks the release of Bandits: Phoenix Rising.
“It will probably be the biggest game out this week,” business development manager, James Mackay, said.
One Must Fall: 2097 was released by Manaccom seven years ago. It’s sequel, Battlegrounds, is a 3D multiplayer arena game for the PC. Its online aspect will be a big draw card for the title. Manaccom expects unit sales to top the 10,000 mark.
The game is due to hit the shelves midway through April and Manaccom hopes to release a version for the Xbox later in the year.
