Southern Cross Computer Systems has named Andrew Paynter national sales manager, beefing up its nationwide sales efforts.
“As a member of our senior management team, Andrew will be responsible for the growth of our business and customer relationships Australia-wide,” Southern Cross general manager commercial, Mike Sakalas, said.
“We have a well-established presence in the Canberra marketplace which continues to thrive, and we’re focused on our expansion into new geographic markets with the opening in 2012 of our offices in Perth and Sydney.”
Paynter joins Southern Cross with over 12 years in the IT industry including managing the Victorian Government strategy for both NetApp and DiData.
Prior to that, he worked in senior ICT and emergency management roles for the Victorian Government.
Southern Cross has been beefing up its sales team. In October, it hired Sakalas, who was most recently at NetApp, where he was responsible for enterprise, government and commercial sales operations in the southern and western regions.
