E-learning solutions provider, Ancile Solutions, is in the process of signing on a global channel partner agreement with BMC Software in an attempt at expanding its partner network.
The announcement follows its partnership with HP Software last year, after only having a single channel partner, SAP, for the last 12 years.
As part of the agreement, the reseller contract enables BMC Software with the ability to create learning content using Ancile’s tools, sell that content to their customers and provide and resell licenses of its software for customisation of that content.
Ancile Solutions vice-president of sales, Patrick Dunlap, said it inked the agreement with BMC Software as it was seeking alliances from an educational perspective.
“We’re looking at organisations that are interested in providing more ROI for their customers.
“These vendors have educational organisations that think in a forward looking way about how to service and supply their customers with the right information and education beyond just traditional classroom training,” he said.
In building its partner strategy, Ancile Solutions is in talks with a dozen different software vendors.
“Our channel strategy is a combination of additional reseller partners, similar to the current relations we have in place. In addition to that, we will have value added resellers (VARs) in certain geographies, who will focus on either that particular region or in some cases look at a vertical market,” Dunlap said.
According to Dunlap, the company will be targeting verticals such as healthcare, finance, document management systems and state and local government.
He also mentioned that Ancile Solutions will be launching new products in Australia, during the first quarter of 2013, in relation to Cloud apps and mobility.
“All of our partners are taking us in that dorection. That is something strategic and our business has also been primarily on-premise to date, so we anticipate most of our development activities to be Cloud and mobility related,” Dunlap added.
