US Cloud-based enterprise business intelligence (BI) platform, GoodData, has appointed Chris Gartlan as managing director for Asia-Pacific to support growth within the region.
Gartlan said his appointment comes as an increasing number of organisations in Asia-Pacific are looking for better ways to understand and derive business value from their data.
“Big data is a quickly growing issue and there are many organisations who are seeking simple and efficient ways of converting data into insights that can be utilised by the entire business, and not just kept in the hands of the IT department,” he said.
He added that the investment in a local presence is an exciting opportunity for the company.
According to GoodData founder and CEO, Roman Stanek, Gartlan’s appointment will enable growth as a result of expanded solution and services delivery to its clients in the local market.
The announcement comes off the back of the recent launch of its BizData Monetisation (BDM) strategy, which is designed to empower business to find revenue and profit from big data, as well as its expansion into Australia and New Zealand last month.
