Hybrid IT service management (ITSM) solutions provider, FrontRange Solutions, has appointed Fred Johannessen to the role of alliances and channels vice-president.

In his role, Johannessen will be in charge of all strategic alliances, technology alliance, and building and managing the overall partner program.

He will work to refine and execute a global alliance and channels strategy that will focus on the development of partnerships with major global IT companies to accelerate adoption of hybrid ITSM.

“Johannessen brings to FrontRange a unique blend of IT service management experience and the knowledge of how to apply this in building a global network of loyal and productive business relationships,” FrontRange president and CEO, Jon Temple, said.

Temple said that the appointment is well timed as it comes during a period where more and more customers as well as technology providers are looking to select service management solutions that offer flexibility to move between the Cloud and traditional on-premise deployment models.

Johannessen has over 25 years’ experience in enterprise software, with an emphasis on the development of partner ecosystems.

Before joining FrontRange, he worked for datacentre and Cloud management startup, ScienceLogic, as business development vice-president.

He has also spent 16 years with BMC Software in numerous leadership positions.
