Recognising that today’s consumer has more than one device, Trend Micro has made its Titanium Maximum Security solution platform agnostic.
The security suite comes with protection for up to five different devices, whether it is smatphone, PC, Mac or tablet.
The release is a significant one for the security vendor, with Trend Micro cyber safety expert, Aman Chand, highlighting that it is the first time the company has bundled all of its key security features to work across multiple devices.
“The customer experience has been streamlined so there is a single key which can be used on several different devices,” he said.
“We have also upgraded our entry level product to AV+ by including enhanced features such as social networking security.”
With competing products on the market offering similar functionality, Chand says that the social network security of Titanium Maximum Security will be the key point of differentiation on the market.
“When it comes to social networking, Australian internet users spend more time visiting social networks and blogs then any user in any country around the world,” he said.
“Our suite of products cover more social networking sites then any of our competitors, from Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest, which is currently the fastest growing social site.”
While Trend Micro Titanium comes packed with a range of features, the one that stands out to Chand personally is the Facebook privacy scanner.
With Facebook constantly evolving, new ways are being introduced in which its users can share more of their personal information with their network of friends, such as the recent forced migrated to timeline.
“We are the first and only security company to recognise that most users can’t keep up with the constant change to the privacy settings introduced by these new features,” Chand said.
The Facebook privacy scanner in Titanium Maximum Security is a simple tool that is designed to easily integrate into Facebook.
“It allows users to easily check their privacy settings and advises them on potential privacy issues,” Chand said.
In the process, this provides the user with the necessary information to make an educated decision as to what they want to share with their Facebook network.
Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security is available now for $129.95.
