Symantec is looking to further penetrate the Australian consumer and small business market for its range of security products including virus protection, Internet and e-mail filtering and small business productivity software.
Rodney Orrock, managing director of Quadtel's Marketing Results, said the company was favoured by Symantec due to its recent acquisition of Marketing Results, which has strengthened the company's distribution capability.
Symantec's retail account manager David Hall said Marketing Results will carry the entire range of the security vendor's consumer products. It joins Tech Pacific and Express Data as national distributors.
"Marketing Results have a strong presence, particularly in regional markets," said Hall. "They will target a lot of resellers that can add incremental revenue to our business."
