CA Technologies has made two appointments, in line with its wider channel strategy focusing on further growth in the A/NZ market.
It has hired Trevor Rogers and Lourens Strydom as channel account directors for Australia and New Zealand, respectively.
Rogers, who will be based in the company’s Melbourne office, will primarily be responsible for growing CA Technologies Solution Provider business in the southern region. He will also be looking into ways to further develop its channel partner program and drive growth.
He joins CA Technologies from Oracle, where he managed a number of strategic partners within A/NZ for the Oracle Fusion Middleware Group.
Prior to Oracle, Rogers worked for HP for more than 10 years, where he was involved in building and managing several channel businesses – most significantly within HP Software.
Strydom will be based in Wellington and will be responsible for supporting CA Technologies’ current customers and partners, as well as driving growth in New Zealand.
“New Zealand is a tight-knit market in which we have built some excellent channel relationships. Lourens’ strong ties, coupled with his wealth of experience, make him the ideal candidate to help us develop our business,” CA Technologies A/NZ senior channel director, Klasie Holtzhausen, said.
Strydom moved to New Zealand four and a half years ago when he worked as a systems architect for Transpower. In this role, he primarily looked at strategic directions, governance and innovative technology deployments.
Prior to this role, he spent four years in the Middle East, managing presales and service groups for Sun Microsystems. Lourens also worked for HP for eight years in presales and delivery consulting roles with customers and delivery partners in a number of other African countries.
