Value added distributor, Observatory Crest, has bolstered its security line-up by signing new exclusive distribution deals with BlueCat Networks to distribute its products in A/NZ and Aerohive Networks for Australia.
The distribution agreement covers the full range of products, inclusive of specialist training and technical support to its resellers in A/NZ.
According to Observatory Crest director, Martin Christmas, the vendor additions were proof of its commitment to help businesses meet the challenges of emerging trends and new technologies, such as the decentralisation of the corporate office, the BYOD explosion and Cloud computing.
“A top priority for CIOs is maintaining the corporate network’s integrity while permitting access to staff regardless of location and the device used. Businesses that lack the appropriate network infrastructure are at risk of limiting their potential for growth and having a negative impact on their employees’ job satisfaction levels,” he said.
Christmas said the mobile explosion has also left businesses struggling to cope with the management of IP addresses.
BlueCat Networks Asia-Pacific managing director, Daniel Lee, claimed that it alliance with Observatory Crest for its valuable experience in the network infrastructure space and believes it will help the company expand its presence in the A/NZ region.
Aerohive Networks A/NZ country manager, Peter Davison said Observatory Crest’s dedication to ensuring the success of its resellers was an appealing factor in the decision to sign with the distributor.
“It’s a partner that understands our business and is committed to equipping its reseller network with the necessary skills and knowledge to reach enterprises struggling to meet new challenges such as BYOD and decentralised offices,” Davison added.
