Seagate's Cheetahs are no pussycats

Seagate has released the latest additions to its Cheetah range of enterprise disk drives. The Cheetah 15K.3 and 10K.6 are designed to enable IT managers to lower the cost of their storage systems by using reliable, high-capacity, high-performance drives. Seagate's Cheetah range now offers capacities from 18 to 146 gigabytes with spindle speeds of 10Kbps and 15Kbps. The drives feature Ultra 320 SCSI and 2Gbps Fibre Channel interfaces. The Cheetah 15K.3 is priced at $US939 for the 73GB model, while the 146GB, 10K.6 model is priced at $US1,259.
