CSC launches Unified Communications-as-a-Service

Based on Cisco's hosted collaboration solution

Technology-enabled business solution provider, CSC, has announced a Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) solution, based on Cisco's hosted collaboration solution.

The company said it is a first for the Australian marketplace.

Hosted unified communications allows businesses to bring converged voice, mobile and data services to every user in their organisation.

CSC will provide this newly launched managed service to clients in Australia via its unified communications service centre. CSC aims to accommodate customer premises-based, CSC-hosted and hybrid deployments.

It will also provide all hardware and software as part of the service or will manage customer-owned equipment. Regardless of delivery model, services are supported at a per-seat, per-month fee and receive standard solution design and 24/7 support globally.

According to CSC Australia chief technology and innovation officer, Bob Hayward, the launch of the solution presents significant savings for Australian organisations against traditional UC deployments.

“CSC understands the necessity for network services to embrace the as-a-service model at a time when businesses are clearly focused on cost efficiencies and reducing capital expenditure.

“Continued expansion of CSC’s as-a-service solutions in the Australian market with Cisco’s unified communications platform allows our clients to enjoy optimised organisational communication and business process integration — driving competitive advantage,” Hayward said.
