Application delivery technology provider, A10 Networks, has inked a distribution deal with enterprise-focused Nextgen Distribution, in its first foray into the Australia and New Zealand market.
The partnership will help it broadly reach customers in the Australia and New Zealand region.
A10 and Nextgen plan to further develop the channel with marketing programs.
Nextgen sees A10 as a "new challenger brand" that fits the requirements of modern computing and platforms around big data and what is required to move data very quickly, Nextgen managing director, John Walters, said.
"Our new relationship with A10 plays to our key strengths of providing high performance networking, application delivery and security solutions, and we look forward to introducing A10 to our clients," Walters said.
"Nextgen Distribution’s strong channel experience and technical expertise allows A10 to accelerate our expansion in the Australian and New Zealand markets," A10 Networks managing director A/NZ, William Hayes, said.
A10 Networks, founded 2004, is headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in the US, UK, Europe, Brazil, Japan, China, among other countries in Asia.
Its core markets are telecom, Web giants, ISPs, banking and finance - companies that are likely to encounter an influx of big data, according to Hayes.
One area the company is aiming to push into is upgrades in Internet addressing technology by helping companies switch to the the new Internet address scheme of IPv6 as the current one becomes crowded.
"IPv4 is being exhausted," Hayes said. "IPv6 is the the next level of addresses."
A10 Networks is Nextgen’s fourth vendor partner since being founded by Walters in 2011.
It signed on Oracle as its first and lead vendor following its creation to expand Oracle's growth in the Australian market.
