Customer relationship management (CRM) company, SugarCRM, has signed 12 new technology partners across Australia and New Zealand as part of its growth prospects for the region in 2012, and to meet demand for commercial open-source products within the markets, particularly New Zealand.
The new partners for Australia are Baseline, Task Exchange, Nextright, Genix, Evolution Marketing, Acceler8, and ISW, with CloudTech and Holistec taking care of New Zealand. They will sell, deploy, and provide support for SugarCRM’s full product suite, with a focus on the higher education, government, manufacturing, and professional services markets.
The partners will be managed by SugarCRM channel manager, James Moore, who has been with the company for abouteight weeks. As part of his role, Moore will assist the signings with business and account planning, and provide support.
The signing reaffirms SugarCRM’s alliance with IBM, as many are also part of the IBM partner ecosystem, and will be taking both company’s social selling solutions to market.
The partners double SugarCRM’s total ecosystem in the region since establishing a Sydney office in June 2011, and add to its global network of over 400.
“SugarCRM billings rose by 118 per cent globally in Q1 2012 over the same quarter the prior year, and in Australia and New Zealand alone we experience a 36 per cent increase,” SugarCRM Australia and New Zealand managing director, Tony Hughes, said.
With a goal of maintaining growth momentum and doubling its customer base throughout 2012, SugarCRM also recently appointed a new marketing manager, Veronica Mikhail, and yet to be announced sales engineer, and is in the process of hiring a sales operations person.
