German-headquartered ecommerce solutions company, hybris, has invested in its Australian presence with the launch of a head office in Sydney, to be led by newly-appointed managing director, Graham Jackson.
According to CEO Ariel Lüedi, the localised office will simplify the implementation of the hybris ecommerce platform.
Additionally, Jackson said that by assisting retailers in accelerating implementation, hybris will allow them to gain ground on Australia consumers, who are generally ahead in terms of line shopping and pre-purchase researching
Jackson, who has more than 15 years’ experience in IT and ecommerce, also said that “retailers need to offer a range of value-add solutions from click and collect, buy online and return in store, to online lay-by for Christmas and the ability to buy from their mobile via NFC or QR codes.”
The company has 14 offices in the economic capitals of Europe, Asia, North and South America, and now, Australia, with a customer base of over 380.
