Enterprise software vendor and unit of the Attachmate Group, NetIQ, has appointed Steve Stavridis as Asia-Pacific PlateSpin product marketing manager.
As his new title suggests, Stavridis will be take lead of the development and management of the PlateSpin product portfolio.
“Stavridis’ breadth and depth of industry experience will accelerate the success of the PlateSpin portfolio in the region, which we believe is a huge opportunity,” Attachmate Group Asia-Pacific vice-president and general manager, Boris Ivancic, said.
Stavridis has more than 17 years’ experience in the IT industry, with knowledge in datacentre solutions, storage architecture and design, information management, and backup and disaster recovery.
He was previously Symantec senior systems engineer, where he worked on providing technical pre-sales and architecture design to support large enterprise corporations and government agencies across Australia and New Zealand.
He has also held positions at Sun Microsystems, Dimension Data, CNI Group, and Integration Design.
