Software vendor, Mindjet, has increased its commitment to the Asia-Pacific region and predicts double digit growth in Australia.
The company has opened a new office in Sydney, made regional growth plans, executive promotions and hired some more staff.
This follows the launch of the new version of its popular Cloud tool, Mindjet Connect.
According to Mindjet, its local expansion builds on its regional business success.
It is projecting further growth of 50 per cent within the region over the coming year.
The company claimed year-on-year growth of more than 20 per cent and has more than 700 Australian customers to date.
Mindjet senior director of Asia-Pacific and Japan, Cameron Ackbury, said the new office and hires are part of an aggressive growth strategy to upkeep increased demand of its products and maintain strategic reseller partnerships in the region.
“Australia possesses an economy that has diversified, and it is boosted by the strength of its services and resources industries. Mindjet is looking to expand its footprint with a broad range of sales and marketing efforts targeted at the region’s largest and most innovative companies,” he said.
In increasing activities within that area, it promoted Uwe Richter to International vice-president and general manager, responsible for overseeing the business growth in Asia-Pacific, Japan, as well as Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Since joining Mindjet in 2007, Richter has driven the company’s strategic success and development in Europe, and plans to expand the business further in Asia and Australia.
“Mindjet’s European strategic success story is something we can replicate as we develop and grow in this region," he said.
Other regional team appointments include:
- Marketing manager Asia-Pacific and Japan, Daniel Sims, who will drive Mindjet’s local marketing strategy
- Enterprise account executive, Daniel Keegan, responsible for expansion of the company’s local business and broadening out Mindjet’s top tier enterprise clients across A/NZ and Asia.
- Corporate account executive, Sim Shah, who will be focused on developing Mindjet’s local client base and driving customer engagement.
The new team members will work closely with Mindjet A/NZ manager of general business, Conor O’Gorman and Ackbury in driving further growth.
