Dzienciol leaves Symantec, joins Parallels

Replaces Jager, who has relocated to Toronto

Desktop virtualisation software vendor, Parallels , has appointed former Symantec staffer, David Dzienciol, as its Asia-Pacific sales vice-president and general manager.

Parallels also deals in Cloud services.

Dzienciol left his post as Symantec's Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) SMB and channels vice-president in April.

In the position, he will lead sales for the company’s business divisions in Asia-Pacific, a role that is similar to his at Symantec.

“Dzienciol’s track record of driving business growth helped establish Symantec as a leading provider of security and makes him a great fit for us,” Parallels worldwide sales senior vice-president, Jim Herman, said.

“Dzienciol will build upon his proven experience to fuel continued growth of Parallels to benefit our customers and increase market share.”

Dzienciol replaces Jan-Jaap Jager, who has been promoted to strategic account sales vice-president for the Americas.

Jager will be based in Toronto, Canada, and will focus on managing and growing top strategic accounts for the company.

More to come.
