Its other distributors include BMS Technology, Dicker Data, Ingram Micro and Synnex.
According to the company, it partnered with MMT as part of its ongoing strategy to meet the changing needs of the Australian SMB market.
“This partnership allows Netgear to reach further into the SMB mid-tier space and approach resellers we previously didn’t have access to. After careful consideration, we are confident the time is right for us to expand our distribution base,” Netgear A/NZ managing director, Ryan Parker, said.
It selected MMT for its focus on representing international IT, AV, software and communications vendors and its specialisation in networking and storage solutions targeted at SMBs.
MMT’s strong focus on customer service was also another factor that Netgear considered – the distie has onshore warehousing and customer-focused sales teams in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
“Our partnership with Netgear allows us to build on our networking and storage expertise, while moving into the security space to further our SMB offering,” MMT solutions group business manager, Graeme Reardon, said.
As part of Netgear’s continued efforts to improve service capabilities to the channel, it will also soon offer a series of reseller enablement sessions in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in July.
