The Internet Industry Association (IIA) has four new board members.
Elected to the board at the IIA Annual General Meeting on April 26 were: Hwei Oh, Marketing Manager ANZ, Sophos; Matt Tett, MD of Enex Testlab; Jonathan Dickson, Sales Director at Gizmo; and Matthew Brigham, Director of Account Management with Trend Micro.
Each takes a seat as an IIA director.
IIA Chairman, Bruce Linn, said, "With these appointments we’ve secured a wealth of experience, industry knowhow and influence, and we’ll be putting them to good use.”
The new appointees join incumbent members including: Chairman Bruce Linn, Director of SABRENet; Deputy Chairman, Patrick Fair, Partner at Baker and McKenzie Lawyers; Treasurer Charles Heunemann,MD APAC, Natterbox; Finance Committee Member, John Lindsay, GM Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, Internode; Director Peter Price, CEO and Director, Crime Stoppers.
“The IIA was formed 14 years ago when the Internet and its implications for society and commerce were barely understood,” Linn said. “Since then, change has been embraced with enthusiasm and purpose, but challenges remain for the digital economy and productivity in Australia.
"This is a new era for the IIA, and it brings a contemporary focus to these issues.”
