Dell has cut the ribbon at the official launch of its Sydney Solutions Centre in Frenchs Forest.
The demonstration datacentre was launched by Dell senior solutions architect, Lachlan Bitticchio, who was hired specifically to work on the Sydney centre.
The event was conducted by A/NZ managing director, Joe Kremer, president of services, Steve Schuckenbrock, and APAJ solutions centre director, Man Wei Lee.
The centre is part of a $1 billion investment, which includes aggressive hiring to build expertise and technical support, aims to localise Dell's services so customers have the potential to visit and experience operations live.
According to Kremer, A/NZ staff numbers are currently about 1000.
It marks Dell's tenth solutions centre, and the fourth in the APAC region.
