Business services provider, Logica Australia, has a won a multi-year contract from United Energy (UE) and Multinet Gas (MG) to manage their IT infrastructure.
As part of the agreement, Logica will provide the overarching service management processes for all aspects of UE and MG’s IT environment, encompassing all its own technical services alongside third party activity.
“The aim of every Logica staff member supporting UE and MG will be to deliver optimal system performance to UE, MG and their customers,” Logica CEO APAC, Colin Holgate, said.
Logica will be setting up an Australian-based service desk for insight into UE and MG corporate IT function, as well as technology support including service desk, desktop, server, storage and networks. Disaster recovery and security services are also part of the deal.
“Logica is providing tools that can be used to track systems and ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of business.”
UE is an electricity distributor which delivers electricity to approximately 640,000 customers in south-east Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. MG distributes gas in Victoria to over 670,000 customers.
